Galveston


Galveston is a coastal city located in the U.S. state of Texas. It is located on Galveston Island and Pelican Island in the Gulf of Mexico. The city has a population of approximately 50,000 people and is known for its beaches, historic architecture, and tourist attractions such as the Galveston Island Historic Pleasure Pier and Moody Gardens. Galveston was also the site of the deadliest natural disaster in U.S. history, the Galveston Hurricane of 1900, which killed an estimated 8,000 people.
