Juneau is the capital city of the U.S. state of Alaska. It is located on the Gastineau Channel in the panhandle of the state, and is only accessible by boat or plane. The city has a population of around 32,000 people and is known for its natural beauty, including nearby glaciers and the Tongass National Forest. It is also the home of the Alaska State Capitol building and the Governor’s mansion.
