Haines


Haines is a small town located in the panhandle of Alaska, in the United States. It is situated on the shores of the Lynn Canal, near the mouth of the Chilkat River. The town has a population of around 2,500 people and is known for its natural beauty, including nearby glaciers, mountains and forests. It is also a popular destination for outdoor activities such as hiking, fishing, and kayaking. The town is also home to the Fort William H. Seward, a historic military post dating from the late 19th century.
